Staying in Val d'Orcia

Our farmhouse in Val d'Orcia, located in the manor house where we lived until about 20 years ago, has been renovated and today offers an authentic experience of country life.

On the ground floor, where once there were the stable, the oven, the cellar, the "caciaia" (the room for maturing cheeses and cured meats) and the granary, it has now become a large lounge where our guests can have breakfast or dinner.

Furthermore, there is a room dedicated to social activities and an area for complete relaxation. On the ground floor there is also a service bathroom.

Comfortable rooms at our farmhouse near Montalcino

The rooms of our farmhouse near Montalcino are located on the first floor and are accessible via a stair lift for people with reduced mobility. These rooms, where our family lived in the past, are furnished with furniture that belonged to our grandparents, restored to find new life. Each room is equipped with independent air conditioning and a private bathroom with shower, towels, hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. Daily cleaning service is guaranteed from Monday to Friday.

Services and Hospitality at Podere Stabbiatelli

Pets are welcome on our farmhouse in Val d'Orcia. We kindly ask you to always keep them with you and never let them wander alone, especially at night, to ensure peaceful coexistence with the other guests and the animals on the farm.

Culinary Experiences

In addition to the overnight stay, it is possible to book a dinner cooked by us with products from our farm or nearby farms. It is required to book no later than 2.00 pm

Availability and rental periods

From April to October, the farmhouse is rented for weekly stays only. From December to January and in March, it is possible to rent the entire farmhouse for shorter periods. The farmhouse is closed in November and February.

01/ The room of the girls

This is the room my sister Aurora and I used to play in when we were little. It faces north and its window offers a lovely view of the surrounding fields and the Val d'Orcia which opens up just behind. The room has individually controlled air conditioning.

02/ The room of granny Ada

This room is full of memories for us. It used to be a sort of free area in the Podere where we could enjoy all the pampering of our grandmother who lived in the family with us. The room faces north and overlooks the surrounding fields, offering a view of the neary Val d’Orcia. The chest of drawers hides a little secret... a slightly vintage safe, built into one side of the cabinet by my grandfather. In this room it is possible to add an extra bed. The room has individually controlled air conditioning.

03/ The room of mum and dad

This was our parents’ bedroom where myself and my sister slept in it until we were little. The room faces east with a view of Montenero and the garden with the old medlar tree. The bathroom has a window overseeing the fields and the Val d’Orcia on the back. In this room it is possible to add an extra bed. The room has an independent air conditioning system.

04/ The room of uncle "biondo"

This is the room where uncle Marsiglio (who everyone called Biondo) used to sleep. The room is very bright as it has two windows, one facing east with a view of Montenero and Monte Amiata and the other facing south with a view of the internal garden. The bathroom, the only one that already existed in the Podere, also has a window. The room has individually controlled air

05/ The room of granny Genovina

This room was originally the Podere's kitchen and sewing room. The room faces south and overlooks the garden, enjoying the shade of the large trees in front of it. The bathroom is accessible to all and equipped with devices that allow full use even by people with reduced mobility. The room has individually controlled air conditioning.
